The biggest joke of democracy is voting.........people think they are going to choose thier favourite leader by voting them.ha.
i was reading an article of a pakistani author.......he says the west is successful in technology and education and ect bcz of thier democrasy........
i want to know does every pakistani think like this?

Re: Tip of the Iceberg of Hidden Secrets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

i do believe in democracy.

but as a pakistani do i think democracy will work in pakistan... no.

Reason: democracy means tolerance. which we lack tremendously.
freedom of speech: i should be able to say my say without the danger of being lynched by the mob.

democracy will not work in pakistan until and unless our literacy rate is increased. and here i am not talking about educational qualification, i am talking about being enlightened.

Re: Tip of the Iceberg of Hidden Secrets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

If all of us stay quiet and no one criticises ruler then it will be assumed that the nation agrees with what he is doing. When you criticise him, it spreads and someone who has more time sends it/gets published in news paper... the thing goes on. Ruler of a country does not have time to listen to all of the ruled nationals i.e. 150 million people.

If you can motivate yourself further you can go on to streets and make your criticism heard.

Democracy is not really the tool behind all this development, there are many many other factors which played part in their development.
