Expressing Gratitude thread made me think about tip giving culture. I give tip as much as I can afford.
Do you give tip at the end of your meal?
Do you show generosity in giving tips?
Does it improve level of service next time?

You know to add to their income.
And in our culture make them feel appreciated.
Like poeple in our culture behave and every thing, but those working in industry are expose to another kind of appreciation. Which is not wrong at all.
Thats why in our kind of place I make sure I do. With out expecting westren style "oh thank you"

Yes. Its just customary thing.
What do you mean by generosity? BTW, I remember a line recently read 'beggars are not takers, they are givers. They give you a chance to be generous. 
Don’t know. I rarely go for eating out, so we (waiter / me) forget each other, till the time I visit same place next time.
