Tiny irritating hair standing on my head :(

Hello girls. I have a hair problem that I need help with. I have fine hair that gets greasy and limp with in 24 hours. Need to be shampooed every day. I do not use any product in my hair to keep them clean from build-up. Lately I have observed tiny hair standing on my head after a blow dry or even when I tie my hair in a pony tail. What can I do to settle them down? They are very irritating. I am newly married so yes, appearance really matters  Please help

Re: Tiny irritating hair standing on my head :(

Any 'calming balm' would work..

thanks for the reply Gina. What is a calming balm and where can I get it in Dubai?

Re: Tiny irritating hair standing on my head :(

Sounds like hair breakage because of the blow drying.

Washing your hair everyday and then blow drying often is making is dry and more prone to breakage. The scalp becomes greasy so quickly as a response to you stripping away its natural oil production everyday.

Start washing your hair every other day instead, with a gentle shampoo (one that is not going to dry out your scalp) and luke warm water (instead of hot water). You can use a conditioner on the length (not near the roots). If you can manage it sometimes (say if you're just at home), even leave 2 days between washings. It will feel greasy and gross in the beginning but hopefully after a few weeks you will notice that the hair is not becoming greasy so quickly. Oil your scalp the night before or a few hours before washing too.

Try to avoid blowdrying too. You need to take care of your hair until those short hairs grow long enough that they don't stick up.

Thanks for the reply stoppit. Not washing is really not an option for me right now :( Anyways I will try to avoid blow dry for some time and let us see. Any other solutions are also welcome.

Re: Tiny irritating hair standing on my head :(

Yea, it's difficult.

Perhaps just try switching to a more gentle shampoo. I have also read that diluting your current shampoo with water in a bottle and using that instead is an option. Or some days, whenever you can, just wash with water. I think the key is not to over shampoo the scalp. You need to stop your scalp from producing so much sebum, which is what is making it greasy and limp. If you can give it back its body, I'm sure you won't feel the need to blow dry so often.
