Hi guys, I’m going on holiday soon and I don’t want to wear foundation during the day. I.was thinking of getting some tinted moisturizer but don’t know which one to get. Can you guys plz help?
Re: tinted moisturizer
I just got MAC Studio Moisture Fix:
It goes on supersheer and the coverage was VERY good! I give it a two thumbs.
Re: tinted moisturizer
What about the MAC Face & Body Foundation? I heard the cover is very light. Has anyone used it? I also think the fact that you get so much in there in that huge bottle for a MAC product seems good too.
Re: tinted moisturizer
I am on vacation right now and brought along studio moisture fix on someone's recommendation...I absolutely love how it goes on the face giving me just enough TINT...strongly recommended!!
Re: tinted moisturizer
thanks guys, looks like the studio fix is a winner! I use the face and body as my normal foundation but what i find on holiday is as soon as i start to get a tan, the colour just looks wrong! as a daily foundation i really like it. I used to get redness across the cheeks in the morning and i found it covered everything fine.
Re: tinted moisturizer
Glominerals makes a very nice tinted moisturizer, and a satin liquid that is full coverage. Both contain anti oxidants, anti inflammatories, and SPF.
Re: tinted moisturizer
i hate hate hate face and body. it's like paint.
Re: tinted moisturizer
Lol stoppit, it has the consistency of my kids paint but I find it works 4 me, I use foundation brush to apply a then layer and it works. Any tinted moisturiser reccs?
Re: tinted moisturizer
Sorry, nopes. I don't like tinted moisturiser. I find they look a bit greasy, not good for my oily skin.
I tried face and body and did not like and every time I've seen a MAC MUA with it on, they look sooooo weird :/
Re: tinted moisturizer
**Stoppit **again u skin is oily. i hv tried body shop skin enhancer and its good. good coverage and gives even tone skin. any one hv try it?
I hv question tinted moisturizer aur skin enhancer is best for daily use. i think. can v use it in party or marriage function or v should use proper foundation?

Really? Noooooo! Some people swear by it, and a lot of photographers use it for photoshoots too. Is it b/c it is runny?
Re: tinted moisturizer
the consistency is very watery and the way it applies and dries feels like paint. i don't think it looks very natural on the skin either, like it's very obvious you're wearing foundation.

What do you think about just adding some foundation to your moisturizer or SPF? Isn't it the same thing?
Re: tinted moisturizer
in terms of the look? nopes, that just adds a tint to your moisturiser. face and body literally feels like you have painted your face.
try and get a sample. if you take a small empty pot, they should do it. i shop at a pro store where they have cute little mac containers to give samples out in and i got a sample of all the foundations they rec'd for photography and also a cleanser and loose powder.

No, i mean any foundation. Wouldn't it be the same to add some foundation in your moisturizer/SPF? I do that sometimes but it doesnt have a matte finish, which is the only down side to it. And I dont have a Pro store near me. =(
Re: tinted moisturizer
same thing as a tinted moisturiser? i thought you meant same thing as F&B. from the tinted moisturisers i have tried, yes it's not much diff from adding some foundation to your moisturiser. if you have very dry skin, i think it could be good. personally i think a dusting powder foundation is best if you want some light coverage.
any counter should give you a sample if you have an empty container to put it in. better to ask for it when you're buying other stuff at the same time tho.
Re: tinted moisturizer
Yeah you could try and use a foundation and mix it with your moisturiser. That generally works the same as tinted moisturiser. Although I have the MAC one listed above and it's consistency is very foundation like. Often i've had to mix in a little bit of moisturiser but that's because I don't wear foundation and I think the MAC studio fix is obvious to me!

Have you tried the Face & Body one, Cuppy? I'm an NC2-25 and I was wondering whether I'd be a C2 or a C3?
Re: tinted moisturizer
Laura Mercier's oil-free TM is pretty good, so is Bobbi Brown, but it would be great if you have dry skin.
Re: tinted moisturizer
thanks for all your help ladies, I've got pretty oily skin and it tends to get worse in the heat. Thanks to all your suggestions I've come up with a grand plan, Im going to take a small container of face body and mix it with my moisturizer. I really dont want to wear foundation during the day cuz of the heat so my very own tinted moisturizer seems a good way forward.
