Times when I was embarrased to be Pakistani:
- When zardari flirted with palin. The next two weeks I told all my friends that I was from India (my dad was born in India).

Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
LOL
Palin herself had lot more embarassing moments.
And on my last vacation i decided that i will tell everyone that i am Indian and see how people respond. A total of 10 people asked me 3 men and 7 women. Two men and 1 woman beleived what i said that i am Indian. Rest of them, 1 man and 6 women rightly guessed that i am not Indian and i am Pakistani.
Times when I was embarrased to be Pakistani:
Nasty..Ewww. WTF? I'd rather side with Zardari.
Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani

Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
When that whole cartoon thing happened, and the riots in Karachi happened. Is there anything more embarassing? Nothing positive ever comes out of the country, and then there were the riots.
Just pick up Business Week or Times. The business section will have plenty of news about the movers and shakers of India. Pakistan is only mentioned when talking about risks to investments in India.
ever:jhanda:

I KNOW!!!!!!!I love Pakistan and all, but sometimes I just want to cry for Pakistan.

Which is why I don't pick up those stupid things. Most pakistani business folks in the UK and the US don't. They know whats the deal. They smell the opportunity and are making tons of money, because everyone else buys into these stories. Its like being a kid in a candy store. Almost not competition from anyone other then fellow Pakistanis! Lots of english speaking (with amazing american accent adaptation), educated young people that need jobs and want to prove themselves.
Nasty..Ewww. WTF? I'd rather side with Zardari.
lol. but seriously OUT OF ALL THE PRESIDENT/PRIME MINISTERS it HAD to be a STUPID PAKISTANI.
Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
^ being called an indian is beneath me and an insult. I do not find it funny. I do not joke about it. I'd rather be called zardari.
Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
^ I think that's overreacting. There are Muslims in India, and they deserve just as much respect. No one nation of people is better then other. Having so much pride is a sin especially saying being called Indian is beneath you. I think that's one of the reasons that Pakistanis are so BEHIND- we look down on everything and every one.
When you are humble you think everyone is better then, you are able to pick out the best of their qualities and use it for yourself.
There is a hadith that says that no one will enter jannah even if they even have an ounce of pride with in them. So becareful when you use the words "beneath" and "better"
Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
Proud to be Pakistani and Proud that QUAID was our hero:k:
PAKISTAN ZINDABAD:k:
Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
Never , never , never , ever, period. Always proud to be a Pakistani.
Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
Okay, now I am embarrased to have said that I was Indian. But sometimes some Pakistani people make it really hard to be proud of your home nation. Sigh...........

Indians are beneath me.
The words are pronounced Hadees and Jannat. We speak urdu, not arabic.
Hadees are irrelevant to me.
And Mashallah, I am doing very well. I also feel I am contributing more to Pakistan's economy then anyone else on this forum. I take great pride in this.
But you are not them so why feel guilty of somebody else’s crimes ?
Allah aap ko aur ziada day . Ameen. But so that you know humbleness is admired more than arrogance by Allah.
Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani
I Born in NY, raised in Pakistan … but i never said to anyone I am American, always proud to be a Pakistani

But.. guys.. its wasn’t my mistake i born in ny

Re: Times when you were embarrased to be PAKIstani

Okay, well don't you think we can learn from people that are doing better then us econimically? Indians also have a higher literacy rate. They are also doing very well in the sciences and basically everything.
I'm not saying that Indians are better, I'm saying that we can learn from everyone. I think its silly to say that a group of people are "beneath" you- that is racism. Everyone has good qualities and we should recognize that and try to implement them in our own lives to make us better.
