yes that was based on partition 1947. based on real observation of Razia Butt. She was with her husband in Anbala in August 1947 and mentioned all her experience how they migrated and celebrated Eid in camps

i have even heard Liaquat ali khan was the one who slow poisoned Mr Jinnah but, i couldn't find any authentic information.
May be its a propaganda. The illness of Mr Jinnah was well know and even it is said by some historian that if his medical reports were known to British authorities they would have prolonged their rule.
