but you have to plan everything. I’ve to inform my boss two weeks before I was going to take my abba for medical check-ups, so that he can arrange his schedule. but this all comes when you really step in professional life.

BTW on your sibling’s wedding day, you are not supposed to be in office to face such situation

oh yes,we have to…I gave that example to explain…tht it depends on how imp the other event is to tht particular person.
Bdays maybe v imp to some and not at all imp to some.So,the answers will vary.
