interior Sindh main kisi Hindu ka qatl huwa tha and they were not registering FIR. The story named 'Sard Lash jo Safar' Journey of a dead body was all about this incident and that was not digested by ZAB, the liberal feudal politician and hence the ban on the writer and the magazine that published it.
ZAB was not that liberal and open for his opponents too.

Of course, ZAB had a very bad habit and i.e. he liked to be praised, which lead him to appoint Zia and the rest is history.
Yesterday, Mujahid Barelvi shared an incident taht after resigning from Ayub's cabinet he was leaving Pakistan. Habib Jalib wrote a poem which wa published on front page of 'Nawa e Waqt' asking Bhutto not to leave. But he left. After returning and winning elections, he once visited Pak tea House (a place where Jalib and other writers used to meet) and asked Jalib 'wo nazm sunao'. Jalib replied ' wo nazm aap ko rokne ke liye likhi thi, aap ruke nahin to wo nazm khatam ho gai'.

regardless of his political leanings I have listened to a few of Jalib's poems and I love em, the pain he had due to the country's situation during his period can be felt.
