Mujhe kya pata sindh ke to aap ho...aur bhi sindhi log koki ki baat kerte hai may be in different part sindh they make koki.......
But there is a difference in the Sindhi spoken in India and Sindhi spoken in Pakistan. Never heard about this koki. May be a description of the item or a picture can help.
Indian Sindhi is affected by Sanskirt and Pakisatni Sindhi has now taken words from Persian and Arabic rapidly. People who visit each other in two cities, now stated feeling difficulty in understanding variety of words on the other sides. In Pakistan Sindhi is written in Arabic / Shah Mukhi style and in India Sindhi is written in Gurmukhi / Dewangri style. Even Sindhi books published in India, needs to be translated for Sindhis living in Pakistan.
From koki my rough guess is it may be something related to coconut.

this difference must have been develop during last six decades ...old sindhis knew how to write urdu....
even punjabi actors like dharmendra and rajendra kumar used urdu as their language whenever they were required to write in movies.
Yes the partition played its role, but even before partition religion had impact on language that influenced the language after partition more rapidly. Instead of all this, Sindhi taught in our schools and part of text books contain majority of Sanskrit words. We, therefore, can easily understand Hindi compared to others in Pakistan.

We have three boards in Sindh. Karachi, Hyderabad & Sukkur. Hindi is not taught in schools. Hindu students have to study Ethics (Ikhlaqiyaat) instead of Islamiyat.
