Paratha is aufraata in Sindhi :hehe: There is a meetha paratha stuffed with sugar and butter. Other stuffed parathas are taken from other cultures. Basically, Sindhi dishes are quite simple and a few generation back there was no concept of Murgh / Roghani food. People used to have breakfast with Lassi. In lunch, they usually had daal and sabzi (Murghi was special occasions) and in dinner they used to have milk with saada rice.

Bus hamari generation ke nakhre kuch ziada hai.. I remember my Ammi running behind me to eat sada rice with daal (I don’t like saada rice) on the days when she remained extra busy. But I always refused to have sada chawal. She then had to make roti for me. But now I’ve become so sabir o shakir, jo mile kha leta hoon.

waise I am big fan of sada chawal…i dont like biryani, pulao etc…:frowning:

but chawal ke saath bhi problem hain main chwal sirf daal ke saath khata hun…:smiley:

agar gosht,chiken wagera ho to roti is must…

When Knorr introduced chicken cubes, my Ammi got some relief by mixing that into sada chawal :hehe:

panjeeri aur sattoo, kiya yaad dil diya. Panjeeri toh UK mein bhi khai hai lekin sattoo yahan nahin miltay.

Panjeeri kheer jaisi nahin hoti.. Yeh char maghaz se banti hai..

BTW Chahr maghaz main kia kia aata hai.

Ab to 30 Rupe ka bhi mil jae to badi baat hai.. Uncle aap ne Ayub Khan ke zamane ke rates batae hain jab cheeni ki qeemat chand paise badhne per toofan uth khada hota tha. Ab her maah petrol ki qeematen badhti hi ja rahi hain. Petrol jo 4 saal pehle Rs 60 /Liter tha aaj PPP ki neik dil awami hukoomat ki mehrbani se 106 Rupe ka hogaya hai :hinna:

Mujhey yaad hai 1971 mein gosht Rs4 say bur ker Rs4.50 per sair ho gaya tha toh saray mulq mein hartal ho gayee thee kay gosht itna mehnga ho gaya hai. :nahi:
