Time to wake up?

Two news stories caught my attention in today’s jang.

1st story is about a 10 years old cancer patient thrown out of home by the parents, because they no longer could afford the treatment.

2nd story is about a father SELLING his two kids in market because-- well the same reason that he could not afford to feed them.

Makes you think about the level of disparity we have in our society. On one hand we have parents doing this to their children and on the other hand we have those brats posting on youtube channels (in thickest desi accent) dissing everything “Pakistani”!

what went wrong there!

I think we have failed as a society and blaming just politicians for the state of this nation is really not fair because we are failing at a very basic humanitarian level if parents need to resort to dumping their children or selling them because they are incapable of feeding or treating them.

Yeah this is the writing on the wall for society, humanity, civilisation and all it entails.

Keep going this way folks and we will be back to eating each other… :eek:
