That is not a sarcastic post.

Sarcasm definition according to Merriam Webster Dictionary:
sar·casm noun \ˈsär-ˌka-zəm\ : the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny

Nowhere do I detect any hint of sarcasm. That posted whom you quoted is also stating his/her opinion. So why does he/she get labelled sarcastic, when OP isn’t? Isn’t OP stating his opinion as well?

OP to best of my knowledge didn’t state you should ONLY start with battered women. He stated you should consider them also in your search. IMO the comment was not entirely innocent.
