The writing style may come across as patronizing. But folks started attacking rather than just look at the message. IMO. I think in post 1 OP was simply trying to get the message across that maybe folks should consider marrying women who may have had unfortunate experience. I did see lots of sarcasm in page 1. Such as (I am paraphrasing) “I wouldn’t start with battered woman if looking for a bride”. That type of responses framed subsequent posts in this thread.

Sarcasm definition according to Merriam Webster Dictionary:
sar·casm noun \ˈsär-ˌka-zəm\ : the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny

Nowhere do I detect any hint of sarcasm. That posted whom you quoted is also stating his/her opinion. So why does he/she get labelled sarcastic, when OP isn’t? Isn’t OP stating his opinion as well?
