The fact that our men are being hit at will and that too at regular intervals proves the incompetency of the commander. His plans (if there is any) are failing.

This is what needs to be done and is not being done right now

  1. Strong and flawless border surveillance. Nobody should be allowed to cross border illegally. Currently people literally walk over to Iran from Balochistan. We all know that. we have seen videos of it

  2. Extremely strong human intelligence network in all Baloch majority cities of Baluchistan. A network that should exist in every town n city of Baluchistan.

  3. Openly calling out countries that are involved in supporting Baloch separatist groups in one way or other. No hiding on this. Federal government should do strong and active diplomacy on this. Call out Iran and Afghanistan.

  4. Continuous IBOs based on human intelligence with only one goal. Find and kill

  5. More use of MRAPs for travelling between different towns and particularly in areas that are more hit by insurgency

  6. Continuous use of armed drones in mountain ranges of Baluchistan. Particularly Makran region mountains should have a very strong drone reconnaissance.

  7. A special cell should be created to promote anti separatist and militant narrative both on traditional media and social media.

8 Anyone supporting or glorifying terrorists of BLA/BLF should be given a strong shut up call. Slap terrorism charges on such people.

  1. Make allies inside Baluchistan and particularly in Baloch people. A lot of people are ready to work for state in Baluchistan if we don't abandon them like we abandoned those aman lashkars of FATA.

  2. Never abandon your local allies no matter how much leftists sitting in Lahore or Karachi make noise.

  3. Maximize government writ in South-West Baluchistan.

  4. All FC or army checkposts should have aerial support available 24/7 in case of any raid by terrorists.

  5. Continue with killing BLA/BLF terrorists hiding in Iran or Baluchistan. In fact increase the pace of killings.

  6. Also put all the ethnic student councils in Punjab, Sindh and Islamabad in heavy surveillance.

These are the things that we need to do inside Pakistan. Other than this, active support of militancy in IOK should also be done immediately. Currently, thanks to the current leadership, militancy in IOK is near death. Revive it and ensure it increases cost for the enemy.

We thwarted their two simultaneous attacks and dispatched more than a dozen terrorists (a.k.a. missing persons) to hell.

In fact, there were 4 such simultaneous attacks planned. Two were neutralized through our IBO and intelligence apparatus. Just yesterday in Waziristan our security forces snatched a large cache of weapons including IEDs through another IBO. You may nor have heard of this, but Markhor operates in mysterious ways and does not always announce his victories.

To me, all this is points towards success, not failure of our security forces and Sipah Salar :smokin:

You are correct.

The point I made was that these two attacks were thwarted by our FC men, not our regular, highly trained in asymmetrical warfare and well equipped army.

Good insane versus the bad insane is what we’re witnessing here, something the tribesmen were already accustomed to. So their knowledge helps. But some of the credit also needs to go to the pak army, if not all, for helping and nurturing the bad evil to come good against the current evil

^ Our neighbors on the east are well famous for investing in fireworks to explode in pakistan whenever they are going through a transitional phase in their own country, uttar pradesh legislative elections for one

Bad mouthing Pakistan, or portraying it in a bad light by causing havoc in it actually helps their cause politically. I'm just happy the infiltrators are being put to rest rather swiftly

Although I’ve been going to various parts of Balochistan since an early age, I never cared to know about the struggles of the locals. Most people go there for picnics or to buy cheap smuggled stuff and that is all. Still I felt that murder of Akbar Bugti was a big crime, and the way things were handled after that was no less of a crime either. Just a few months back there were some of the biggest protests in Gwadar city by Jamaat-e-Islami about lack of basic necessities such as drinking water.

Both Zardari and Nawaz Sharif tried to make amends during their governments but almost nothing was done under the present government. According to Saleem Safi, even those who used to counter the separatist narrative have gone quiet due to complete neglect and broken promises. In fact no opposition party has spoken against the latest attacks because they all feel sidelined. Army thinks it can manage Balochistan on its own, but I’m sure they cannot. Only political people who have roots in public can manage Balochistan if they are given real authority. Besides, the intent of such attacks is to trigger a brutal and indiscriminate response but that will only worsen the situation.

TTP and BLA are two different organisations with different ideologies. You can’t take revenge from BLA by killing TTP members. I don’t remember when was the last time when TTP killed our 30+ troops in a single month.

You are right brother. In the sea of crooked mafias, the biggest fish has eaten the small ones

Just wait till Sipah Salar gets retired and start running his business empire from some overseas country

Mostly unrelated to the thread, but definitely a good read for those who want to understand how misuse of power and authority in Balochistan triggers tragedies: Shazia Khalid Case

We fight for the rights of Kashmiris and Palestinians for self determination so why cant we practice what we preach and hold a vote? In Canada we held a vote and narrowly beat separatist in Qubec and things are peaceful. No military has been able to subjugate a population. There is no military solution to a political problem. We are reaping what we sowed, these attackers are all coming from Afghanistan. Pak army came under fire from Afghanistan and I had pre warned all those celebrating terrorists victory in Afghanistan. Pakistan will pay the biggest price for supporting Taliban. Afghanistan has become terrorist central of the world.
