I don’t find any good performances for Imran Nazir. I know Salman Butt wasn’t consistent, but atleast he was better than Muhammad Hafeez. He could atleast make one century from like 5 matches. Also, Salman Butt used to be very consistent in his form.

So you are satisfied with our openers (Imran Nazir and Muhammad Hafeez)? We need most consistent ones. Salman Butt gets consistent when he gets into form.

No Doubt Salman can be a good players (like of Ramiz) for test matches but in ODI, as compared to Salman, Pakistan gets two VERY good fielders in Imran nazir and Hafeez, additionally Hafeez provide a good off spinner too.
Salman temperament is very good and could play long innings due to his temperament but his fitness, agility and alround skills may not match these twos.
In present shape and form, we could only his his butts to get kicked in fielding.

i agree Salman Butt is consistent when he gets into form, but the PROBLEM is he rarely gets into the form.
I believe Paksitan should have included Yasir Hameed into the world cup squad. I know he didn't perform that well in tests in SA, but he is a good player atleast better than any other openers we have.

If you ask me Salman Butt should have been in our World Cup squad. Him and Nazir would have been a good L/R combination in the circumstances.

If I recall it correctly, during one of the tour, probably indian tour, he has some brawl with inzi, and I think Inzi might be instrumental in vetoing his selection atleast for ODIs, since in test Inzi may not have too much support for his veto against him.

if u follow the domestic season in Pakistan, Salman i think has scored the most this season, he scored like 5 centuries in a row in recnet weeks, i think he should have been in squad along with hameed, Butt one thing i love about him, can lead a chase, and he has done it on a few occaisions succesfully!

I have always said that Salman Butt is one of our best openers and he is the one who needs a long run to prove himself, Hafeez has failed miserably but his bowling is decent and that is what keeping him in the team.
Salman Butt must have been selected and Hameed deserved a chance ahead of Nazir as well but poor guy was dumped without doing much wrong in ODI's.

I don't like Hafeez at all but to be honest, he performed really well to earn a recall so he deserved another chance and although he has failed so far, i still think he is better than Taufeeq, Nazir or Farhat.

Salman is having a good domestic season so far hopefully he will be back after the WC i mean the guy is much better then Hafeez and Nazir

Untill and unless genuine new talent is given a chance for the opening slot, there is not point in playing musical chairs with Hafeez, Nazir, Butt etc...
