time pass zone - love me for who i am

i was at the mall today, and a song was playing, the words were “love me for who I am”

it made me think - if someone has to say “love me for who I am” - then their love is not puppy love / true love / innocent love?

I think if someone has to say “love me for who I am” then they have a partner who cares more about materialistic things…

why bother being with that person?

Re: time pass zone - love me for who i am

^hmmm - that's why I don't like that phrase... because let's say if it's your first love - it can never be materialistic love!!!!!!!!!!!! It's true love.

I think once you are out of the first time love zone - that's when you hafta start saying "love me for who I am" - because now it becomes materialistic based on selfish needs =(
