When is it time to call it quits. I was ust reading an Australian newspaper and they said on wednesday at training the world team was practicing running between the wickets. All the players kept up a good pace by doing around 10 runs per minute except Inzi. Inzi lagged behind and struggled to measure a pace faster than a walk.
As could be seen in his batting yesterday his weight has dramatically affected his balance. How can we have professionals looking like this?
I think unless he can shed a few it is time for Inzi to retire.
once the pak season starts and inzi starts batting regularly his weight will come back down, he does gain weight when not playing, im not really worried about it! remember inzi's wight is never the problem wc 03 he was the fittest ever in his life!
He is probably at his peak now and he should play for another couple of years, he has been in EXCELLENT form lately and there is no need to retire even though he is slow in the field, he makes up with his batting and captaincy. He doesn't look too excited being in World XI, it's a different thing when he plays for pakistan though.
People will shut up if he performs well against England, India etc in coming tours.
You must be kidding. He is still one of the best of the world except for his batting in Australia. He still has few years of cricket left in him. I agree he needs to work on his fitness but then we have agreed to live with it and accept him as what he is.
I apologise for my earlier remark. However, you have got to be kidding. Inzi's been in good nick over past year or so and pak will really suffer when he does depart.
He’s got a point there. Our team’s spine is soon aging and will need to be replaced in a couple years max. And i dont believe we’re ready for it. Who will replace him? Mohammad Yousuf Youhana? Younis Khan? Shoaib Malik?
CricketLagger you prove yourself again and again what you really are. Inzi is doing just fine and enjoying his best days of captaincy. He should play WC2007 and retire with memorable performance.
Mohammad Yousuf is a very capable batsman and a world class player but the thing is many a times in the recent past him and Inzi have saved matches for us. When Inzi retires who will share the burden with M. Yousuf ? Younis Khan played well in the last couple of series but is not read to fill in the shoes of those two and he is the most experiencedb atsman we have after Inzimam and Yousuf. Younis Khan need to take his fair share of responsibilty and in a couple of years he will have make sure he is ready to be one of the pillars of out fragile batting line up. At this moment Inzi is not replacable in our batting line up.
Inzi is Inzi he saves the day when needed. If his fitness is such a problem how did he end up at over 300 runs in a single innings? He's saved Pakistans roost on many occasions and I see a good few years in him at least until after the World Cup.
