I’m getting a haircut sometime soon because I have some split ends and it’s getting pretty long. I’m thinking about cutting it like 4 inches. I like having long hair so I don’t want to cut it short or anything but I think if I cut it just a few inches it will still be long but not too long.
Right now it’s layered so there are shorter strands on the outside and longer on the inside. I’m wondering if they can cut over the layers. Can they trim the layers like re-cut them? Or would that be too hard to find exactly where the layers are parted?
I also wanted to get angles in the front from an like 2 inches below my chin down. And what should I do about my sidebangs? =\
My hair is wavy and usually I have it back in a clip/bun/ponytail but occasionally I straighten it. So I think cutting it like 4 inches would be a good length.
This is how long my hair is now (straightened) just to give you an idea…

oh and also... i'm thinking about getting my bangs cut a bit farther back so they're more full. Right now it's a really thin chunk of hair from the front and I wanted it to be a little thicker so I was going to ask them to add some more bangs. Is that a good/bad idea? =\

but i have to cut it because i'm getting split ends. and it's getting too long. i need to cut it a few inches and then i'll probably let it grow out to this length again. but if i don't cut it then it will get damaged at the ends.
and also, it looks better when it's straightened. naturally it's wavy/frizzy/poofy and i hate it lol.
I'm cutting 4 inches off my hair this friday too, though mine's a bit shorter than yours at the moment. I'd say go for about 5 inches. It might sound like a lot but really your hair is still going to be reaallly long. Also, with spring and all you want a fresher look. And hey, it's hair, it always grows back.
I dont know what you look like so cant say much about the bangs, but if bangs look good on you, then making em a bit fuller wont make a bad difference.
I think InStyle Magazine's website has a hairstyle section, where you can upload your pic and then try on diff hairstyles and see what suits you.
the angle that u r refering to is called long layers style.. just tell them how short u want the shortest layer..
just be ware this might give u some frizz cose layred hair become like that.. and u have to straighten them for the right look,
its very pretty as is.. for ur age .. bangs will be totally cute... the rule for the bangs used to be that if u pull it .. it should touch ur nose.. nothing shorter .. but that was back in my days ..
get those swept on the side bangs.. something that u can tuck behind ur ear..if u abs hate it

I have side bangs now actually. And yea I like them longer better than shorter. I'm gonna add more bangs this time when I get my hair cut.

everyone is saying to leave my hair the way it is now i’m like hmm maybe i shouldn’t get a haircuttt…
but the thing is i just keep it back usually and summer is coming up meaning i will have it back almost always cuz it’s so hot.. so if i’m going to keep it back it would be more convenient if it were a little shorter i think.. okay maybe i’ll just cut it just 3 inches.

Hey why don’t you just get your splitties split off? Then keep the hair. But of course it’s your hair and I know sometimes you just gotta get a change!
