Tilt Shift Photography

My 1st attempt

so which one seems more better? I was learning how to use my camera so I was playing with the White Balance settings, I don’t want to use auto settings any more for any thing.

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

In my opinion the first one seems better.. the colours are better in that

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

there is already a thread on this topic SS, but anyways cool sharying.

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

^^ No zobia there is a difference, that thread was just abt describing tilt shift, no body actually shared their work there. This is the thread abt MY first tilt shift project, it deserves a thread of it's own :@:
tx 4 ur input thou

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

Second one Seema - it's just a tad sharper. The first is a bit on the warm side too.

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

Seema, your work sure deserve threads of their own :cheegum:

I do agree with stopit, the 2nd one is slightly sharper compared to the 1st one.

Are these your own pictures? I saw the same picture at the following website:

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

yup they definitely r my pix :pcg:
Grand Central station is a v famous place and this shot is common and the depth of it makes it an xcellent choice for tilt shift

maybe you need to get your eyes checked then? seema’s are taken from the same position but it is clearly not the same picture.

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

how are you dong it though? post processing or with the camera alone? where-ever i've read about it you need a tilt-shift lens to do it. if you have a another (cheap) method, it would be great to hear how you achieved this!

I’m in the learning phase myself but I think first one is better. Please tell me did you use the tilt-shift lens or photshopped the pics?

Nice work :k:

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

hmmm i like the 1st one more.. the colours are better

Re: Tilt Shift Photography

both look good :k:
nice try but not quit there yet  too much blurring and ppl shouldnt been blurred much.

No lens, I am kindda poor na :(. I just used photoshop. 2 do that open the pic press Q to go to quick mask then select the gradient tool, In the options select the reflected gradient option. Draw a vertical/ horizantal line mapping the area which is not to be blurred.again press Q to unmask then go to menu item filter>Blur>Lens Blur and viola.
njoy na

I totally agree na, actually I was just reading how to do miniature photgraphy and to xperiment I used one of my older shots. Next time I’ll try to photograph a shot just for this purpose to acheive more DOF so that I would not have to be restricted by photoshop range
