This all goes to show that those claiming to be KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSONS on this site so appropriately named GS and coincidentally rhyming with BS :D, are in dire need of a little literacy themselves
So having said that I simply want to enhance your understanding of a Punjabi/Hindko word
Tikha that translates in urdu⌠Tez, like Tezgam the train every one knows
or as in English Sharp
So the translation of Gen Tikha Khan, would be one with a Sharp Mind.
So Please quit buchering a perfectly good Panjabi/Hindko language word Cheers!
^ the question still remains, have you heard this name other than the guy under discussion? I believe the tikha that you are talking about is in Urdu too.
Tikha is common name of people in Punjab and Hindko speaking region?
Now that correct spelling is revealed, fair to say it is a common enough word in Punjabi and Hindiko. It desn't sound like a proper name, but certainly appears like a title that must have been earned.
it may not be as common a name, however the word Tikha is used a lot, ofcourse in my area the word used more often is "Trikha" which means the same.
I think Pakistani Journalists who translated his name kinda misspelled it, General Sahib should have corrected that, seems he did not object to the misspelling! I wonder why?
