RV nowhere I or anyone said DW should share her recipe which she use at restaurant.yes the recipe she make at restaurant its her right if she wants to share or no, but as I said she used to cook before restaurant too.and of course the recipe she used to use was also she got from somewhere,
“Used to cook before restaurant” is not a strong enough argument, Kinzz. Woh tab ki baat thi. Back then she shared recipes easily because there was little risk and no accountability. Now, she has professional reasons to not share her recipes. If we are going to be “stuck” on the past and if we cannot understand or accept that as a professional it makes more sense for her to be secretive, then that is our problem. There is nothing “rude” about it.
Anyway, my point was this is public forum where people ask for advice tips and many other questions.and if everyone stop giving advice/sharing tips/telling about designers then what is purpose of coming here?
** The chefs on cooking shows like Zubaida aapa…Shireen Anwar etc etc…are different in the sense that they make a business from cooking “sikhana.” Dubaiwali is not making a business from “sikhana”…she’s making a business from selling recipes and she wants her recipes to be “different” to “stand out” more than the dishes at other restaurants. And so it makes sense for her to keep it a secret. And if does share it…i would think that’s generous of her as opposed to thinking it’s “deserved.”
Sure, she may share a few tips here and there…but expecting full disclosure of a recipe might be “too much.” Even if a famous makeup artist was to come on Gupshup…he’d only provide tips to a certain limit…sirf aik had tak tips dey ga. He will most likely not share his trademark makeup strategies that make him more “special” than other artists and that make him stand out. If Kareena Kapoor came on Gupshup and was asked to give “beauty tips”…she will “share” the basic tips that we all know about (moisturize, tone, exfoliate, take makeup off before sleeoing, drink water, etc"…she may throw in the name of a mascara or lipstick that she uses and people will go “ga-ga” over it and run to their nearest Sephora or Ulta…but I bet she won’t tell you exactly what major products she uses, who her plastic surgeon was, what spa she goes to. However, I do feel that Dubaiwali has more of a reason to stay mum.
Now, OP is not doomed. OYMWA seems like a nice guy and we might be able to cajole the recipe out of him. If not, then OP can google MasalaTV.com and attempt a tikka biryani recipe that has already been “tried out” live by experts like Rida Aftab, Shireen Anwar etc among others.
