i agree with you that flying thru the US for landed immigrants is a big hassle but flying out of toronto is quite expensive due to higher taxes. the only airline that is cheaper is Turkish Airlines but prolly to India only and NOT to Pakistan. the cheapest direct from toronto to karachi round trip that i got is $1332 on Etihad Airlines. **

Yes! This fare sounds reasonable, and very consistant with ex Toronto fares which are $1200 upto $ 2000 (seasonal). Taxes are high ex YYZ but they are not new and we ‘Torontonians’ are happy with what we got.
