Thrilling moments you witnessed live at the Stadium

I am sure most of us have seen alot of live International cricket, I mean live at the stadium.
Although I remember each and every match which I have seen at National Stadium Karachi since Pakistan versus Windies 3rd Test Match Day 2-1986-87, however I would like to share some of the thrilling moments I remember while watching at NSK.
Please do share your experience as well. It is very much possible that alot of us have watched the same match together sitting in the same enclosure.

Pakistan versus Windies 1990-91 (ODI)
http://www.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/1990-91/WI_IN_PAK/WI_PAK_ODI1_09NOV1990.html

Pakistan after giving a target of 210+ was facing defeat with Windies needing 70 runs with 9 wickets in hand.
I remember alot of people were leaving the stadium and than Pakistan’s new sensation Waqar Younis demolised the Windies by getting rid of 5 batsmen within few overs. Will never forget the dismissal of Logie when bails flew and one of the stumps went all the way to Saleem Yousuf.
Still remember the feel of plastic bottle in our hands and banging it on the front seat whenever waqar use to ball.
Actually it use to happen in every match with waqar and wasim bowling and the noise of thousands of plastic bottles use to create an electrifying atmosphere at NSK.

Pakistan versus Australia 1994-95 (Test Match)
http://www.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/1994-95/AUS_IN_PAK/AUS_PAK_T1_28SEP-02OCT1994.html

Famous 1 wicket victory by Pakistan courtesy of Inzi and Mushtaq, and to some extent Ian Healy who missed Inzi’s stmping on the last ball which went for four byes and Khizar Hayat who turned down plumb LBW appeal against Inzi.
I was there for all 5 days, remember when Wasim Akram initiated the much need Aussie collapse in their 2nd innings and only allowed them to give a 314 runs target. But the magic moment was Inzi and Mushtaq 50+ last wicket partnership.

A funny moment I remember was regarding David Boon. We were sitting in the enclosure right next to the Pavilion/dressing room and Boon after his dismissal was sitting on a chair right outside the dressing room door. So there was less than 10 feets distance between him and poeple sitting in our enclosure. All the kids were screaming at him *Duboo Mota. *Boon probably thinking that these kids are just screaming never realized what the kids were calling him.

Pakistan versus Newzealand 2001-2002 (ODI)
http://usa.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/2002/NZ_IN_PAK/SCORECARDS/NZ_PAK_ODI1_21APR2002.html

A boring match on paper which Pakistan won by more than 150 runs but the match was all about Shoiab Akhar who was unplayable and massacred kiwis with his 6 wicket haul.
That was the series which was later called off after bomb blast in Karachi.

Anyway, will get back with some more later, in the mean time start sharing your experience.

Re: Thrilling moments you witnessed live at the Stadium

This is isnt a thrilling moment...but neverthless talking abt incidents at the stadium....Me and frnds had gone to see India-SA match in Mumbai...the match was utterly boring absolutely no excitement...India lost easily against SA....but the six of us were wearing T-Shirts bearing the alphabets S-A-C-H-I-N.
It was absolutely fantastic...we came on TV god knows how many times and also had a picture on the Times of India.
It was great to be on National Television for the first time :D
