Once a superstar, always a superstar. You are one dude! ![]()
these stories are usually made by people of faith to show how true their faith is. muslims, christians, hindus...all make them. in some cases they are so childish that only a faithful is led to believe it. most of them times the characters are obscure( because it never happened in the first place) or very famous ones( if einstein believed in God, who the heck are you not to believe in him). further there is no proof of it. and no historical evidence either.
So you are saying you are an atheist?
Say it and I am ready to answer you.
No one can beat it…just wait till the effect of whatever you smoke vanishes…Even you will beat it!!! and everyone will sing…he is back…![]()
Re: Three questions by a non believer.
Answers to 2nd and 3rd question makes sense (made of fire vs made of clay and invisible). But the first one by the holy man makes no sense. In fact his argument ends up agreeing with the non-believer's point !

Answer o first question also makes sense.
The first question was:
- If everything happens with the will of Allah then how can you blame a human for any misgivings ?
Thats exactly the argumen muslim scholar used to get acquitted of charges. What a smart logic.
In other words, he showed that if you use this analogy and point of argument, then you will inevitably acquit anyone doing wrong of his/her responsibilities in this world. And thats not what Islamic view promotes.
Hope you got the point. If not then, I am willling to explain in other words.

Precisely ... it may have been better understood had the question gone ... "why do you blame men when all things happen due to the Will of God?"
Yes. Totally agree with you.:)

That is the question not the answer. The answer is this:
*The answer to the first question is . If I hit him with the will of Allah then why he is suing me ?

The answer is brilliant in the way that if you believe all things happen by the will of God then why should the scholar be punished.
Its not like he wanted to show that he did not believe in all things happen with the will of God. The point is that this man questioned this statement and scholar used same analogy to make this man understand that the statement is not universal.
Human being are still responsile of bad acts and be treated accordingly...
The man questiong this statement was placed in difficult position and was made to think a bit more on this statement.
The quick respone by the scholar also needs attention here...if you go by the story.

I involved the question as part of the discussion as a sub-discussion because Get smart was not smart enough to understand it the way it was phrased in the original scenario.

No the scholar is not agreeing with the non - believer's POV , he is telling the non believer that everything is not Mashallah. For certain acts Allah has given a free will to act.
See post number 29.

BTW king kong was a super hit movie....you owe me one for that.
I read this in Urdu and decided to translate for the benifit of people who cannot read Urdu. One non beliver asked a Muslim scholar these three questions and said if you can answer them I will convert. 1. If everything happens with the will of Allah then how can you blame a human for any misgivings ? 2. If Shaitan is made of fire how can hell fire hurt him ? 3. When you cannot see Allah how can you believe in him ? In reply this scholar picked up a clump of dirt and hit that guy with it. The guy got mad and sued the scholar in the Qazi court. Qazi summoned the scholar to the court and asked: Why did you hit this guy instead of answering his genuine questions? The scholar said: The answer to the first question is . If I hit him with the will of Allah then why he is suing me ? The second answer is that humans have been created from dirt then how can a clump of dirt hurt him. The answer to the third question is if he cannot see the pain cause by this clump of dirt then how can he feel it ? The non believer converted on the spot.
converted to what? zoroastrianism may be!
