Re: Three cups of tea : fact or fiction?

Is this the book by a guy who helped build and fund schools in pakistan? mainly north pakistan i thikn? he turned out to be a fraud?! thats sad. i hope its not true.

Re: Three cups of tea : fact or fiction?

There may have been an exaggeration of some accounts in the book but I wouldn't say it was all fictionalised.

Re: Three cups of tea : fact or fiction?

^ agreed... probably, there were some creative liberty exaggerations in the book, but there is ample evidence of him empowering the communities of these remote villages in Pakistan through schools for girls, and also in emphasizing education as primary agenda for charitable organizations working in those areas.

Re: Three cups of tea : fact or fiction?

I highly doubt its fiction...but as the above two posters said...to make it into a interesting novel there must have been some dramatization added to it.

Re: Three cups of tea : fact or fiction?

I have met Greg Mortensen. I have to say that he just exudes kindness and humility. He is the real deal. A genuinely amazing man who is doing more for America's image in Pakistan than any other American.
