Sharjeel Memon's statement was a sheer crock. He apparently wanted to send a signal to Sharif that his cordiality with MQM will make things difficult for his government. PPP understands it well that MQM will eventually end up at the treasury benches, just like Diesel, it therefore wants Sharif to expect the PPP to remove the friendly opposition mask if it fails to keep MQM at a certain distance so that MQM does not use its ties with the ruling party as a tool to disregard it in Sindh.

the moment MQM gets close to reaching an agreement with Federal Govt, PPP will come and hug their lost comrades-in-killing, MQM to keep PMLN at bay, and not let them conduct any cleanup in Karachi, which will ultimately result in losing whatever grip both parties have on Karachi.

mil jayegi, thoray din ki bat hay. Fed govt main inko kuch nahi milnay wala. ye laot kar aingay sindh govt main he.
If they lick-sharif's-assets to make it to fed govt, PPP will screw them by their Sindh Interior minister. After all, law and order situation and security in Sindh/Karachi is first a responsibility of Sindh Govt, Federal Govt cannot take any massive action without taking Provincial Govt on board.
