Threads removed.

I had two threads removed one on Gohar Shahi. This contained the word ‘delusional’ which means having a strong belief in something despite evidence to the contrary. The word was removed by the moderator but still the thread has disappeared. I have sent 2 messages to the moderator asking when the thread will reappear but have not had a response yet.

The second thread is about Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. I have not been informed why this thread was removed and what was objectable about it. It would be common courtesy to inform me that the thread had been and on what ground. I have again sent at least 1 or perhaps 2 messages to the moderator asking when this thread will reappear but have had no response.

Please have a glance here: http://www.paklinks.com/gs/religion-and-scripture/213622-rules-for-the-religion-forum-update-please-read.html

As far as the Ahmedi thread was concerned it was obvious that the intent was not on learning from the discussion.

Re: Threads removed.

The intent of Ahmadi thread was to get answers from the followers of the faith as to how a man that claimed to a prophet can be so callous as to get his daughter in law divorced just because he wants to marry a relative or hers that is less than half his age and his proposal is rejected and to look at his general character. By trying to judge intent you are already stating that I am guilty without any proof.

His followers could have made their comments in the thread but instead my freedom of expression is being denied and my voice is being silenced. Its ok to talk about their rights but what about my rights. Don't I have the write to debate a topic and to express my opinions. If anything is found objectionable it could have been removed or edited, instead of being silenced through the back door of censorship. I didn't even want to do a thread on the topic but one of his followers asked me to open a thread in religious forum and then probably complained to stop debate on the issue.

Re: Threads removed.

The problem with religious discussions like these is that they quickly get flared up. The moderators keep on watching them and take action as soon as they believe the thread is getting out of hands.

Re: Threads removed.

You closed my other thread in PA but I accepted it, where I tried to make the point that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad had claimed to be a prophet (where I quoted sources of evidence from their own books) and therefore it was not possible to be a muslim and the law of Pakistan had declared them non muslims and anybody that broke the law deserved punishment. I am not a very religious person and call myself a secular muslim. I believe this was my first time posting 2 threads in religious forum since 7 and a half years of being on GS although I could be wrong.

This thread was not getting out of hand as nobody had disputed the evidence of the letters that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad wrote and received. He had tried to use intimidation of divorce of his daughter in law as a leverage in order to get her family to go out of their way and support his marriage proposal. I also posted quotes from his lecture where he stated that he was a prophet. I also stated that some members of his family where embarrassed by his claims of prophethood and considered him a madman, which is evidenced from the letter he received from his daughter-in-law's father. I have tried to only make claims that I could back up with evidence rather than baseless claims which could lead to things flaring up. The thread was open to all and anybody could have contradicted the evidence or could have put forward an alternative view. This is true debate where you have different viewpoints. If everybody sees things in the same way then that is not a debate.

I have sent you a PM.
