Is it fine if we write the captions in urdu? About twice I did that and the moderators changed into english but now I see some guppies doing it and its there.
No offenses, I just want to know if the rule is no more there ![]()
Re: Threads Captions
I am going to refer to this policy (Read Policies and FAQ thread in GS News for more)
[QUOTE]
Why did they edit my thread title?
There are times when thread titles are too vague or misleading and it causes confusion or prevents a fruitful discussion. Moderators may step in and edit the title to allow readers to get a better understanding of what the poster intended.

A good number of GS crowd cannot read Urdu (written in Urdu font). Plus Urdu title looks a little odd and breaks the flow amongst the list of English titles. Although ther is no set policy to edit Urdu titles (Poetry forum allows them to some extent), its up to Mods to decide whether the title should stay or not.
Re: Threads Captions
urdu titles are allowed in cafe.
Re: Threads Captions
ok.. in cafe.. then fine :@:
Re: Threads Captions
No no dont listen to STA, They are not 100% allowed in Cafe either.
Let me say that again. Any title, English/Urdu/Any-language can be edited by the mod based on the need.
Re: Threads Captions
TLK: last time when policies were review by shak09, he explicitly allowed it that member can create thread in urdu too. but this is not general rule to every forum. cafe is always friendly forum. remember, millions out there still understand urdu than the couple of bbcd/abcd/cbcd. ![]()
