I want to learn how to thread. How can I do that? u tube videos? tutorials?
Re: Threading
I can teach you.
It's really simple. Youtube would be a good place to start, but practice makes perfect. Practice on your hubby's arm until you get the thread movements right.
Re: Threading
okay teach me and save me $30 a month.
There is no way hubby is lending me his arm for these type of shenanigans.

Re: Threading
OK so you want me to do a step by step threading video? My daughters are too young...are you saying hubby?
Re: Threading
Thanks rolla - what type of thread should you use? And I see some women make a circular dhaga as in the video but some have the thread in their mouth?
I understand the concept but I end up getting cuts on my fingers. What am I doing wrong?
Re: Threading
I used to cut my fingers on the dhaga too, but now I just keep moving the dhaga back and forth a little bit so that it doesn’t hurt.
You should probably have a look at some youtube videos to see how to move the thread, but I do have another tip to lessen the pain.
You already know how to tie up the thread and twist it, right? After you’re done with that, I would recommend you wet the thread as well as your upper lip. I know that the parlour ladies always like to put powder on your skin, but that makes the pain worse. When the thread and skin are both moist, the pain is a whole lot less. ![]()
Check these videos out:
Also, I think you can only have the thread in your mouth if you’re threading someone else, because then you move your head to get the thread moving. When you’re threading yourself, you can’t position the thread correctly if you’re always moving your head, so you should make the circular dhaga and then twist it.
In PK, you get special thread to use for threading that doesn’t break too easily. Before I discovered it though, I just used regular thread. It breaks more often, but you can still use it.
Hope this helped.
Re: Threading
Also, you get cuts because you're applying too much pressure. Reduce the pressure on your fingers and you should be fine.
