Cant we have thread rating in poetry section as well??
2ndly, is it possible to k thread opener ko permission na ho apne thread ko rate kerne ki?

Yes it can enabled… I will consult the poetry mods before doing so.
And disablebe the rating option for thread opener is not possible by default. And I dont think that should be done, as they can still vote using different nicks :halo: or they can still ill-act using their multi-nicks as someone mentioned

Aisay jang-o-jadal hotay hain,
gaali, gulooch, maar dhaar,
dhakkam paile, chaantay, thappar,
mukkay, ghoonsay, chotii pakar kar khainchna,
khoon ubaalna, baal nochna, ...
sab hi maray jarahay hain for the so called ratings or whatever...
Seedha seedha discussion karnay aatay hain, karo aur chaltay bano... kuch nai rakha inn fazool cheezon main... specially when results in so much disturbances... fazool ki harkatain, fazool ki baatain...
Quality is always inside us, give your best and best person knows themselves that they are the best, they should not need any kind points specially when its creating so much problems...

Jigar... don't be sad, I didn't mean to discourage you or anyone, it was only my opinion which is based on the observations here, but poetry is the section where best people do visit and participate, and I am sure the probability of abusing will be very less there, so don't take this wish back :-)
Enjoy and let other enjoy... but don't take it as truth!

magar i realised that k rating system is not necessary for poetry.. 
as U said k person posting a good piece know that it is good.. the most imp thing is personal satisfaction with respect to satisfaction of others as well
