I said 'i don't do this for money!' that's all - i do it for fun, like this is not my bread and butter - i love clothes and want some time pass since i don't work etc so i do this. Don't be disappointed hun :)

mmmmm but does that make sense?you dont do it for money but at the same time you try making sooooo much on just a single piece...may be its not your bread and butter....but after taking sooo much profit cant say "I dont do for money" its like "thnks but no thanks"....nothing wrong in just being practical and taking a reasonable profit and admitting the same...since it is all about money hehehe

i think it all boils down to "reasonable profit", for me i personally think its quite a large profit BUT then its also upto us as buyers from abroad to try and do a little bit of reasearch as well hai nah??? there are now alot of sellers on this board and i for one intend to be quite careful about who i trust with my hard earned money. I've had really good experiences so far but What really saddens me is this attitude that just because we live abroad we will pay any ridiculous price people are willing to charge. And actually yes we do have a choice of not buying from you Nona but i also think your whole attitude to this issue isnt very helpful and is almost bordering on arrogance.

I for one would never pay more than what I think is reasonable because even though I live in Canada I have visited Pakistan enough times to know what the price range is like
I was interested in purching an outfit from someone here and she quoted me more than 20,000 for a formal that had no work on dupatta or pants and i am sorry but i think that's ridiculous
there are many shops here in toronto and missisauga that do customized work esp in missisauga and i would rather go there if i have to pay 23k for a simple formal outfit and they would prob do it in less money than that too :)
anyway back to topic there are a few vendors on GS with very reasonable prices and few with very unreasonable prices so everyone should do their research before deciding

yeah.....research helps...but this kind of ridiculous pricing does two harms to these vendors 1)shoo away buyers who are interested in outfits but think they are being sold for too high prices,just by looking at the prices the buyer might not even contact the seller 2)if someone buys and later realizes paid more than the worth...would never return to this vendor and would share his/her experience with others.Last but not the least...just becaue we are living abroad doesn't mean money grows on the trees in our backyards hehehe....we feel the pain for money just as you do there in our home country....nothing like how it is portrayed on TVs....even here, since it is our hard earned buck,we look out for sales and get discounted stuff....in $200 I could easily buy my son's one year supply of clothes for his school:)

that is so true,, i totally agree,
i really think this is a issue about morale, if you wanna do a genuine "business" or you are just trying to take advantage of overseas people, by chargin them skyrocket prices, because "you just can do it" everyone does not have a high paying salary, some of us probably dont even have a job, and just are students, and get money off their parents etc..
its not easy to live overseas, we actually DONT have a money tree in our backyards,,
and when you go to a vendor/seller, you genuinly think this might be a decent person your dealing off with, but when you find out the that their taking so much profit, it really frustrates one and makes you think you kind of "wasted" so much money on something you could have gotten for half price if you just waited to go to pk.
I know i will be taking a break from all this, i really think its wrong to charge so much and take double profit almost for something you can get for half the price..

I dont think money grows on trees for you guys, but there are people knowing the margins and still ordering, would you call them insane? crazy? How can you judge how someone spends there
money? similarly you can't judge someone morales online!? I mean wake up and smell ten coffee guys! It's each to their own, If you can't afford this then I say move on... Right?

Wow noname!hats off to you.chori and seena zori :halo: I doubt if even the big shot designers will have an attitude like yours when questioned about their profit margin! You are right.with arrogance and attitude like yours,you surely do it for a passtime!
