I am Sri Lankan and I didn’t know that - but yes..there is a suicide of a female family member in my family…and two more almost attempted…
But ofcoz the one who died - I never ever forgave her husband till the day he died - didn’t feel sorry for him at all.
I didn’t know that things were still the same…Coz the women in SL are a bit more brave, and more out-going now…but 10yrs or more back I can think of a lot of reasons why the divorce rate is low and suicide is high…
BTW..what is your source?

Hmmm…out of females who commit suicide, what % of them were married at the time of death? (the women could also be single or widowed).
