Through my son’s love of NASCAR, I found this camp for special-needs children, it has a NASCAR theme and has lots of really incredible activities and wonderul staff. Cost? Zero dollars. They have different weeks for different categories of special needs (ie., they try to keep autistic kids together in the same week, kids with muscular dystrophy in a different week etc) and they also have family weekends where the whole family stays and plays together. The one that I’ll apply to is in north carolina but there are a number of similar camps around the world, you can find them thru the links on their website. Please share with families of any special needs children that you know - it can be a child with any sort of disability - autism spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, physical handicaps, genetic abnormalities etc etc. We’re going to try for a family weekend, fingers crossed!
