i am intending to go to umra next year Inshallah
i am a student and i live in the UK manchester i was womdering if there are any guppies out there who have been to umra that could tell me about any good packages preferably cheap 
airflights, how u can go to pakistan after doing umra, just general things like that really, i need to sort my finances!

I don't think i'm of much help for you ....but i know one thing umra packages are really ceap in term of expenses ....dunno about england but from hereit was just like we paid just a nominal amount other than a trip to pak n we had really cheap tickets
i think u should check ur travel agent ....as its umra season now ....he might have some real good options for you
btw ....if u r alone u need a mehram before applying for visa :)
i'd say wait a few more months till the US can resettle the Royal family in Switzerland or Arizona (depending on their level of cooperation) and take over the oil.. then you can have all the Umras you want in the State of Arabia U.S.A. and won't have to worry about that mehram crap no more..

dont do umrah at all then.. cuz it isnt something made up by saudi government .. its a rule in the religion it self. u cannot do umrah or hajj without a mehram.

it will be one of the pleasant experience u’ll ever have. u feel so relaxed and spiritual. unfortunately i cant help u with the packages cuz we used to travel by road. the prices usually varries depending on where u live.

I respect your thinking! I don't have much knowledge on this. Please do enlighten us if the need for a mehram is not laid by Islam itself.

and islamabad and PA it isnt mahrem crap it is in our religion Islam that one does require a mahrem for this trip, please read up on ur stuff and dont say things like that.
i’m sorry aysha, i may have missed the verse of the Qur’an that instructs women to take a ‘mehram’ for ‘umra’.
come to think of it i couldn’t find the concept of an ‘umrah’ in the Qur’an either..
