some questions just poped in my mind so thought to ask here
do you girls (those living with in laws) have to ask permission when you are going somewhere? for example going shopping, visiting friends or going for dinner with husband
**no. we dont ask for permission. we just inform ahead of time. just incase they had something planned. usually if any of us is plannign something that requires the other persons presence, we inform ahead of time. but its understood in our household that a woman is only answerable to her man. not inlaws. **
when you come back from shopping, do you show what you bought to your MIL and tell her the price?
**yes. i used to do it before i got married.. showing my mom waht i got and then talking bout it till the end of time.. and after i got married, i do it with my mil. it dpeends on ure comfort level and mentality as well as taste. we dont have the same level of taste .. but we like listening to the other’s view of things.. so whatever we buy we show. price, i dont bother telling cuz its not important. unless she wants it too.. then i do tell. mil doesnt believe in spending too much money whilst i am the opp. **
do you have to do all house work? does anyone help you?
i do the laundry which is the only thing fixed at our household.. that too not cuz mil cant do it, its cuz i dont like her system of putting everything in the washer regardless of lights or darks. rest all is upto who feels upto what.. most of the time im doing the cooking and roti making.. and she handles the midget for me (my son). if i dont feel liek cooking or whatever.. she does it. fil does the washroom cleaning and vaccuuming. we women dont touch either of thsoe things

does your jeetani or nand give you a headache?
not gonna lie and say we get along without any hiccups. have plenty of disagreements but never a fight. too mature for that. **plus she lives in a totally diff continent so that helps. **
does your MIL treat you and your jeetani in the same way
dont have any.. hsuband is only son ;(
well i am asking this because one of my friend was telling me how she had a hard time living with in laws and she is really happy that she moved out..her main problem were with her Jeetani and nand..when ever she would make a small mistake, the jeetani would just go and tell the MIL ..
when her nand would visit them..she would always talk to her rudely …
she would not go out that much becaue if she would go for dinner lets say 2 times in a month then the Jeetani would say i dont go out that much, why does she have to go out for dinner all the time..why dont they eat at home and save money
if she would do some shopping, the jeetani would always complain that oh she is wasting money.
the jeetani got more importance at home, as she would spend all her day at home. would ask permission for everything, would do everything according to MIL ,
