PESHAWAR: Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has said those who are fasting on Sunday stand by the side of Qadianis and “we” can only be Muslims if we celebrate Eid with Saudi Arabia.
He said this while talking after offering Eid prayers on Sunday, says a private TV channel.
Some Ulemas have made Eid a matter of their ego while this is not in any way a question of some one’s prestige. This is a religious matter as Eid moon was sighted in Lahore and Karachi and later NWFP government announced to celebrate Eid", he underlined.
“We should celebrate Eid ul Fitr with Saudi Arabia and this way no conflict or dispute would emerge. Those who are not celebrating Eid on Sunday are politicking. When there are no differences over Eid ul Azha then why it does arise on Eid ul Fitr”, he questioned.
He was of the view it was a grave sin to fast on Eid Day, adding those who observed fasting on Sunday they were on the side of Qadianiat.
Muslims all over the world should have to associate themselves with Makkah and Madinah, he stressed.
Well I think this is slightly extreme...so the chap is suggesting whoever had their Eid on Monday are with Ahmadies...What are your opinions? Should we celebrate Eid with Saudi Arabia?
Just to clarify the point that Ahmadis in Pakistan celebrate Eid when it is announced by the Goverment ONLY. Thats how it has always been in Pakistan.
Re: Those fasting on Sunday are on the side of Rabwah
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman is not working for Ahmadis is he? His committee is in charge, they get reports of a moonsighting, they announce, the nation celebrates. Majority of Pak muslims follow the government so it's not only Ahmadis.. That's how it supposed to be.
Re: Those fasting on Sunday are on the side of Rabwah
This ANP guys are really in some kind of inferiority complex, their argument is based on the issue that when the moon is sighted in Quetta, Karachi and Lahore, eid is announced, but when some people ( don't know what kind of people) sights moon in NWFP, their sighting is not acknowledged by the Centrel Committee....
Somebody need to tell him that their is no concept on moon sighting on 28th of Ramadan... and Eid with Saudi is not practical, we live in Pakistan and under no circumstances we are going to do our prayers under Saudi control.. we already have enough trouble imported from that part of the world
Re: Those fasting on Sunday are on the side of Rabwah
I do not agree at all with the respected Minister of RAILWAYS!
But a question, based on the argument that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are at different geographical locations, we say that we should celebrate Eid not based on Saudi moon sighting but Pakistani.
Can we extend the argument saying that Peshawar and Karachi are different geographical locations and it is possible for moon to be sighted in the former and not latter?
Fatwa business is really booming in Pakistan…now the railway minister has joined the fatwa bandwagon against majority of people in pakistan and has declared them to be Qadianis !
GS is also infested nowadays with fatwa givers…We have very simple solution to everything. Whoever disagrees with us is either a qadiani, or a kafir, or a Islam hater. Najeeb Zafar, a pious industralist from Lahore, was fatwaed to death for removing an old ramzan calender. Publications are being fatwaed as Islam haters.. and now people who celebrate sarkari eid instead of Peshawari eid are being fatwaed as Qadianis !
We have only two ways to move ahead from here. We accept people with diverse views living in our country who can not even celebrate eid together and think how to coexist together, or give up our sanity to these semi intelligent monkeys who will fatwa everyone to death !

As a matter of fact Saudies should have celeberated Eid on Monday with Pakistan as did Sultanat of Oman. Saudies were wrong to do it on Sunday.
Re: Those fasting on Sunday are on the side of Rabwah
Hey guys look....dont take me wrong...but why did Oman did it on Monday and Saudi did it on Sunday? Does anyone have any reports of sight seeing in Saudi or scientific reports?

apart from moon sighted, there was enough of technical/scientific evidence that Eid was OK in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world, other than obviously PAKISTAN..................
Re: Those fasting on Sunday are on the side of Rabwah
Well Eid on South and Western part of the world was on Sunday. (USA, Canada, South America, Southern Africa). Namibia was the only place where moon was sighted on Saturday.
And in Eastern and Northern parts it was on Monday.

Eid in UK was officially celebrated on Sunday...(I did on Monday)..and they were very clear that they followed Saudi...
