but PF, the nikah is when you're actually a dulhan... i think people so often forget it is the real meat-and-potatoes of the whole thing and when you should actually look like a dulhan and celebrate- after all, you're making a life long commitment to one another- thats not something to be treated as a secondary affair, IMO. the whole reason for people to have a reception at all is because you're getting married, right? no marriage = no dulhan. so when someone is actually becoming a dulhan, i.e someone's bride/wife, then shouldn't they look like one? :)
if circumstances had been different, i would have had my nikah and civil marriage combined into one on our reception day. sigh i guess thats why i feel so strongly about this.
gina, seriously? dude, i am so going to karachi in december iA, and i'm planning to visit every single one of these designer and non-designer stores. i was thinking i'd bring back some bridal outfits for sale perhaps.

^ I agree. Although the 3 other functions we had were bigger than the nikah itself, still for me the most special and significant part was the actual nikah in the mosque, thats the one I have the most cherished memories of and those are the pictures I look at the most to relive it!
cool, maybe I’ll bump into you at some random shop lol. we all know what u look like coz of those gorgeus wedding pics of yours just dont freak out when i scream out Some-groovy-chiiiick, meiN pinks, gupshup se
that is exactly the thing. I don’t want to look a “mini dulhan” on my nikah day personally i am thinking about a pishwas but i don’t know what kind of colour combination would be the best choice. Groovy chick has all ready mentioned some options but does some one has examples? or tried those combinations?

PF I went to Nilofer Shahid's place around 5 days ago and to be very honest ALL her clothes sumhow didn't go well together. The patterns, designs and all nothing I wud've picked up (and I REALLY wanted to)
