What is this area like and how far it it from the main centre and airport?

If you take a cab from airport then it will take around 2 hours approx.

^ that's pretty far. What area would u suggest in buying a home/flat that would be close (approx 30-45 mins) to the centre and main attractions including airport

Oh if you are going to look for areas to buy a home then tokar niaz baig is definitely not the place to get it.

If you want to get a home in Lahore CM you can buy one in Punjab Society Lahore Cannt. Amazing place to live in. We have one of our houses there.

thokar is NOT 2 hrs away from the airport...it's about 45 mins away...maybe 1 hr 15 mins if the traffic is bad...

but yea, i agree, if u're looking for housing close to the center, don't get it there...it is out of the way for most parts of lahore...

CM there are many buildings being built near Siddiq Centre where the Air Blue office is. There are flats for sale over there. That is a lovely area.

Thokar Niaz Baig use to be one cornor or Lahore, thats where Motorway M2 finish and join Multan road for further south journey to the south of the country. from thokar, if one takes canal road, it can be just under 30 mintues you will be in the middle of city. airport link is being built at the moment, ie the ring road, once thats done, airport from Thokar will be 30 minutes or so.

even right now, airport in normal traffic will be 1 hour. as both are on 2 different outer cornors of lahore.

Apartments are not very popular in Lahore but there are some..

There are apartment buildings on Main Boulevard Gulberg. Siddiq centre building is also there.

The area is good, practically the centre.

Other apartments in Faisal town- old and not quite maintained though, and Askari apartments- these are old but the area is secure.

If you are willing to buy, the best thing to do will be to visit an estate agent or check the local newspapers for listings, specially Sunday editions.
