The Institute of Education is seeking to appoint a Director for its new Centre for Research and Evaluation in Muslim Education (CREME). The Centre has been developed in order to organize, conduct, disseminate and promote research in the field of the education of Muslims in the UK and internationally. The Director will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of the Centre.

For this role, you will need a higher degree (preferably a doctorate) in a relevant field, and a broad awareness of current issues in the field of Muslim education, both nationally and internationally. Expertise in complex project management will also be essential. An administrative assistant will be appointed to support the Director and the Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead research and evaluation on the education of Muslim pupils and students in the UK and beyond.

The appointment will be full-time, and is available from 1 May 2012 for a period of five years in the first instance, subject to a period of probation.

Pay sucks for a "Director" position. Looks like one of those easy breezy positions. Your research assistants write papers for you, you put your name on them, visit a few conferences, speak at a few diversity events as the token Muslim guy, and collect a salary at the end.

Although I am sure this is in line with every British Pakistanis dream of not doing much and collecting welfare.
