Nadz, please don't expect your inlaws to treat you how they would treat their son. Just like how you would never treat your inlaws exactly how you treat your parents. With a few exceptions, not all inlaws would do as much for their DILs as they would for their sons. I think you should stop with your expectations from them. You have your parents mA, and Im sure they do more than alot for you.. just be grateful for that instead of why your inlaws didn't do this or that.
I ran into a good friend of mine last night who got married recently into a nice family, and while talking about living closer to the inlaws, she said to me, sorry to be blunt but your inlaws can never be like your own parents/family. So it's pointless to have expectations because there will always be disappointments to follow and you will never be happy.
