My family always goes all out on Eid festivities, we’re a pretty large bunch, 50+, all ages and sizes (lol!)…we’ve been settled in the US since the early 70’s, so early on, my parents/aunts/uncles found ways to make Eid a HUGE deal for the kids, so that we be able to keep ties to our religion and culture…this year I have been assigned kids’ activities and treats, so this is what I have planned…
For the older kids (ages 10-16), I am planning on making a Ramadan Jeopardy quiz game board on a big Matte Board…I need help with question/answer categories please!!! The prize for the winner will be Itunes gift card!
For the younger kids (pre-school-elementary), I’m planning to do the parcel game (wrap up a gift in a gazillion layers and have them pass it around to music, when music stops, who ever is holding it unwraps a layer…who ever unwraps the last layer wins the prize)
For all the kids, I’m making these gift bags which will contain an individual wrapped cake pop, some candy and asst little goodie treats…what do you guys think? Any additions or suggestions will be much appreciated! I’ll post pics of the final results after Eid!!!
(the flavors I’m making for cake pops are: lemon cake/lemon icing dipped in white chocolate, choc cake/choc fudge frosting dipped in choc ganache, and white cake/vanilla frosting dipped in white choc…i’m planning to use flaked coconut, chopped nuts & asst sprinkles for the decorations, and I’ll also display some on the dessert buffet for adults)
