This is how Pakistan can stop and prevent drone attacks

Thank God that Pakistani nation has allowed its army to establish the writ of state in parts of the tribal and semi tribal area.

You all would have noticed by now that the drone attacks in the Pak army controlled area have been drastically reduced or have been totally stopped.

Why it is so?

Because now the parts under Pak army are finally and truly our sovereign areas. Before Pak army established control, those areas were lawless places where primitive tribals from Arab lands and their local lackeys roamed and terrorized the locals and the country.

We should learn from this, and expand the writ of our state to all of the FATA area and other no man lands in other parts of the country.

I hate to see the use of Pak army within its borders, however in the crisis situation due to Islamist invasion, ordinary police cannot stop the Mulhas and other criminals. Thus making the use of Pak army as a necessary step.

As long as we control our territory, no drone attacks will occur unless the army itself conducts and allows these ops.

It is also time to end the draconian laws called FCR.

It is time to change the political status of FATA. The agencies should be under the control of Peshawar government. And if FATAns want, we should given them the option of establishing their own province. Whatever the outcome, we must get them out of 1000 years politically primitive and tree dwelling tribal life.

Re: This is how Pakistan can stop and prevent drone attacks

It had to be done. When the terrorists use bombs and rocket launchers, you cannot send in civilian cops with batons and .22mm pistols.

The terrorists escalated it to war scale and army is the correct and only face off possible.

Apart from the need for drones, I expect the recruitment infrastructure of the terrorists would also have taken fatal hits. That would severely stop inflow of manpower. Killing of current terrorists and stopping recruitment of future terrorists, both a must.

USA should at this point work with Pakistan and re-double non-military aid for these areas. If the presence of US personnel will be seen as an ongoing insult, I'd even recommend US providing the funds but get the Chinese to come work there.

Time to heal.

Re: This is how Pakistan can stop and prevent drone attacks

As long as we stand united , i dont think that even USA can go against the will of our People ,

Let's hope Pak army clears away ARab-inspired terror from FATA, and then there will be no drone attack.

Pakistan was once united?

When did this happen?
