This is going on notice board in lunch room at my work place tomorrow. Is European Cup & NHL out of proportion or right on the money when my fellows are with US, Canadian and European origin? I want them to realize this is no lalloo panjoo cup …its THE world CUP freaking World Cup!!!

Once we were playing Cricket on Sunday in a big parking lot in Quebec, suddenly we were all surrounded by many French watching us playing. We were shocked and happy to see them watching us, later they asked
’ What kind of base-ball you guys are playing? why you smack the ball on the ground before batter’ :smack:

hahha,, good one.. keep up the spirit and celebrations..

its amazing to know that many in this part of the world dont have any idea about the game of cricket... even though its very famous in most parts of the world..... from Australia/NZ to ASIA, then Africa , England/Ireland/Holland/Scotland and WI.... but still they just dont know anything...

p.s. all the indians are now either all of a sudden:

i) tennis fans and have little interest in cricket
ii) believe T20 world cup isnt the real thing, surprisingly it was up until the last world cup :hehe:

lol so i was randomly watching some clips from the world cup, and found one from the Nottingham match where some pakistanis wearing green shirts along with some goras were chanting 'f off india we'll win the cup' in a rather melodious tone! I wish I could post that here and dedicate it to someone. lol

Spock you’re so on the money about the reaction of some Indian folks. There’s this guy who couldn’t stop talking about IPL before the T20 WC, and how good IPL would be for Indian players, and how India has a good chance to win it again, which I didn’t bother denying at the time because really, I wasn’t sure of what to expect, and on paper the Indian outfit did seem good. When I met him today, he was very dismissive of the whole T20 format :hehe: and kept trivializing it. Again, I just didn’t bother with his trivializing arguments… but it was funny to see an overnight transformation in his thoughts about T20 and cricket in general.

I don't know for how long they will remember cricket specially when they were in shock after knowing that TEST match is a 5 days game :) but hey ...i bet 4 Dutch, 6 Canadians, 7 Americans and 1 German will never forget what place Pakistan holds in World of cricket, they got pretty good brief on that :D

PS: my CEO gave me 5....."PAAAA-KEES-TAAAN is Champions man" :)
