This is called Real Foreign Affairs

that our govts always lack…

China’s announcement that it will increase its peacekeeping force in Lebanon to 1,000 troops will help boost Beijing’s profile in the Middle East

I don’t mean to say that Pakistan must send peacekeeping force to Lebanon. I know we always send our forces to other areas including Africa etc. But China here is going to take advantage by helping lebanon.
This article just gives us a message that this is how countries develop good relations with other countries and try to find foreign markets for their benefit.

This is China’s strategic long-term relationship policy.

Re: This is called Real Foreign Affairs

^ I was watching Geo TV and it ran a ticker down the screen showing that Pakistan was going to send its troops to Lebanon, it didn't mention how many troops though.

Re: This is called Real Foreign Affairs

Tell me why should Pakistan send its troops to Lebanon? What is it that we will gain out of it? I am not focuisng on financial aspect ...so curb your ethusiasm and think before you reply.

Re: This is called Real Foreign Affairs

I didn't mean that pakistan should send its troops. I was just giving an example - how countries form their long-term foreign policies.

Re: This is called Real Foreign Affairs

I see no point in us sending troops to help them .... none what so ever. Its about time we make these racist a-holes that they need us more than we need them... Yes I am talking about all of the Arabs.

Re: This is called Real Foreign Affairs

But at the time of war between Lebanon and Israel you people were getting angry on Israel and getting emotional, but now when the time has come to help Lebanese you poeple r running what happened  When Indian and Chinese peacekeeping forces can go to Lebanon to help innocent people of Lebanon then why not Pakistan ???

Re: This is called Real Foreign Affairs

I agree with hollowman.

However, I just gave a link to this article as an example. I didn't want to discuss sending trrops to middle east. I want to discuss the foreign policies that other countries have. How are others taking advantage (in a good way) of this particular situation or any other situation in general??.

Re: This is called Real Foreign Affairs

pakistan has sent bomb disposal teams to lebanon. hezbollah didnt want pakistani troops peacekeeping, as it may have meant a confrontation if fighting continued - peacekeepers required to use force to implement ceasefire. bad move by hezbollah, chances are if pakistani troops were there it would have led to bad feeling between pakistani and zion forces further complicating the iran issue just a teeny weeny bit.

pakistan and pakistanis are very much committed to helping lebanon
