I think what the material above is Gota.
But for a saree blouse Lamee would look better and Gota would look tacky.

If it is a thin strip....up to 4" or 5" then it might be gota but I think that the stuff being used in these outfits is lame.
And yes....I agree with TLK.....it is lame.

Yeah but I’ve seen people wearing gold or silver cholis or blouses in this material…but then again…perhaps it was banarsi or jamawar material. ![]()

Manish Malhotra starting putting it on the bottom boarders of his lenghas and sarees a year or two ago, and it makes the whole outfit so cheap looking.
lame dresses can done pretty nicely though.
