The last 10 years have been quite a ride for Pakistan. Almost a pariah state which was reflected in that Clinton visit at the beginning of the decade. The slow turn around in Pakistan under Musharaf and then 9/11 and its after effects. Most of the decade has been under military rule which so many benefits but then a slump. There has been a dubious presidential election in 2002, a tailor made Kings Party which becamea fraction ofwhat it was, return of 2 losers from the previous decades.
There has been the revolt against Musharf, the pro CJ protests and the lowest low ever hit with zardari becoming the President.
