Bush was either surrounded by hawks or was arrogant enough (or probably both) to not take notice of situation of Iraq and not able to evaluate it properly. Though there seems to be light at the tunnel (Bush admitting wrongs) but don't know if that light is gonna help Iraqi population.

I haven't read the report, but all I hear about report is that it points out the failings. Have you read? if so, what solutions did they provide?

They came up with 74 different reccomendations including talkig w/Syria and Iran, jump starting the Arab/Israeli peace proccess, embedding US troops w/Iraqis, pulling out troops by 2008.

Its really sad that so many soldiers got killed, and it took “a report” to indicate to Bush that he/his policy is failing.

They didn't jump in the war themselves, they were ordered to, someone took really loooong time to realize that he is going in the wrong direction.

Bush has had reports, reccomendations, studies, advice, white papers, etc given to him ever since he undertook this blunder

50 American Terrorists killed so far in Iraq, in December 06

3000 total killed

Over 22,000 wounded

So.. basically, around 25,000 Amreekan terrorists have been taken out (as in, out of the war).

Often people don't look at the # of soldiers who were injured. Most of these injuries result in the soldier being removed from action.

Sounds like a fairy tale i heard as a kid, but first the big bad wolf needs to get his head chopped off.

Since the monkey in the white house and his cohorts took on the responsibility to liberate Iraq and make it Stable, prosperous and peaceful like you said. What exactly have they done to achieve this, besides drool over the pot of gold. ?
