India wins toss and elects to field. Swamy Bhuvaneswar expected to steamroll through top order. It has been rumored no one is volunteering to open the innings for England. ( at least the Indian media is reporting thusly).

England's ODI tour beginning to look more and more like their three previous bilateral series here, after a promising start in Rajkot. England were 68 for 1 after a slow start, Pietersen got a bad decision, and the rest weren't up to it

Yes KP looked well set. Bat hit pad. Given caught behind.
Watched every ball. Opening bowlers Shami and Bhuvaneswar bowled well. At one stage Bell scored one run off 18 balls. Cook got out trying to relieve pressure out lbw to Shami. So did Morgan with an ugly reverse sweep dismissal. Such a low percent shot. Dhonis diving catch to dismiss Root off Sharms was a thing of beauty. But his catch to get Bell (?) Caught off Bhuva was axgem - since he was standing up to thestumps.
The delivery of the day was a flighted ball from Ashwin that turned from outside off and found a yawning gap between bat and pad to hit the middle stump.
The Fielding for the most part was outstanding.
Was disappointed with Ishants statement to Harsha before lunch " we will easily win this". Just play the game. Don't mouth off.

^ That is what one of our UK vendors said - that he was surprised they won even one odi in India. He is a good sport - we occasionally exchange notes.
