Good thread and Good post.
I must say both negative and positive threads or comments should be welcomed. The condition should be that they should all mean well and not just criticism and leg pulling.
I did not have a chance to make coment in a positive thread about Mustafa Kamal-the mayor of Karachi. Regardless he was ranked on whichever position. Hope he does not care and he is one positive contributor to Pakistan and Karachi. Indeed a great man with vision and sincerity. We should all encourage people like him regrardless of any party he belongs to or we support.
I am sure there are many other good people some revealed and many hidden, but the country needs a lot of more hard working honest people.
Well, the reality is - and each of the visitors to this forum can feel it - that most of the negative posts are aimed at dramatizing the situation on ground. Its more like putting salt on the wounds than to heal.
What we need is an "Glass is half full" attitude.
I totally agree with your remarks that a good deed done by someone in Pak that makes us all proud, no matter by whom... must be lauded and advertised. To motivate others.
So I dare asking question to all negative thread openers. What is the reason/motivation or purpose behind your thread?
1) To add fuel to already volatile situation?
2) Your pessimism can't see anything positive in Pak?
3) To offer some solutions?
4) Or it is just that you are bored in your New York / Sydney / London apartment and have nothing else to do?
