Saturday morning cartoons (the days before cable tv & 24/7 sponge bob/nick jr/Cartoon Network)…it was all about the smurfs, snorkels, super friends hour (wonder twins power..activate!)…school house rock…aaahhhh…those were the days!!

i miss my all night outings pulling off pranks on unsuspecting folks in my village. it was so much fun!

How simple those times were.
How less crowded desi suburbs were
How wide the roads were
When tuiition after school was not the in thing.
when every evening boys would play cricket hockey or football
When a kid could walk alone to school or anywhere without fear of abduction
When walking and cycling were the preferred mode of transport
when a 10 paisa gola meant a 2X upgrade
gathering after evening play with friends till word comes from home
No smartphones cell phones laptops desktops Internet. No phone in house

^ true…we loved to play out doors…we never stayed home for more than 10 minutes at a time unless we had some guests at home.
we had a game which was about the environment. we knew our flora and fauna.
this game called “pahaaRii Tilo” where one person will be picked [chor] to find a certain flower or leaf … we knew exactly where to find that…if the chor returned with that particular object…he will pick another kid and ask him/her to bring some other object.
it was quite a search!

I don’t miss a thing because I still do those things. Whenever we have a group outing we still ring door bells and run, scare people walking on sideway by shouting OO BACHKEEE and honking from our car, acting like a retard child in public places….. the list is never ending.

Nice to hear this else i thought only my group is still doing these childish thing but I do it with my very close child hood friends and we always questioned with each other “Yaar Hum kub mature hoon giay” 
BTW I miss the dust which we had in our town but now every where we have streets, roads and grassy grounds so can’t see that Dust in which we hide ourselves by throwing it in the air
